BCL Technologies, Inc. introduces an innovative way to assist programmers in developing programs that can understand, process, and act upon spoken Natural Language (NL) input: the Spoken Language User Interface (SLUI) Toolkit. A SLUI is integrated into the input section of a program, allowing people to interact with their computers using spoken NL English.

Imagine talking to your computer in normal everyday English:
"How many email messages do I have?"
"Copy all the files in this directory to my floppy drive."
Imagine communicating with a web site on the Internet:
"How much does this book cost?"
"Add it to my cart."

Spoken language will soon become the input of choice for program user interfaces. With handheld computers merging with cellular telephones, the need for SLUI-enabled applications becomes even more apparent. Building a SLUI-enabled application is an extremely complex endeavor because Natural Language Programing is a complicated issue. BCL Technologies, Inc. attempts to simplify the process with the SLUI Toolkit.
